Who we are

Fabmap is an IT services company founded in 2017 in Vienna, Austria. At Fabmap, we believe in the power of information technology to achieve great things. For us, IT is a tool we harness to maximize our achievable impact. Our mission is to provide progressive IT solutions, especially for transdiscipinary work.

 

At the core, Fabmap is a single person company by Fabian. In practice, Fabian collaborates with other freelancers where needed. This flexible structure allows us to use the right resources at the right time, and let each shine at what she is best. We work agile and use collaborative methods such as SCRUM.

Origins

Fabmap’s work is rooted in data visualization. Our founder Fabian wanted to bring his academic work to a broader audience. Influenced by Japanese artist Isao Hashimoto, Fabian asked a friend to create a visualization of his own research at the University College London (UCL). 

 

This work was later continued with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and reached a sizable audience on social media. Ever since, Fabmap worked together with more than 10 clients and completed more than 20 IT projects.
