The controller responsible for data processing on this website (within the meaning of the GDPR) is:
Fabian Stricker – Fabmap
Penzinger Straße 128, 1140 Vienna, Austria
Email: contact@fabmap.at
Phone: +43 681 815 88 445
2. General Information on Data Processing
I process personal data of visitors to this website only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and to respond to enquiries. Processing takes place only on the basis of a legal permission under Art. 6(1) GDPR, in particular consent, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, or my legitimate interests.
3. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Data is processed within the European Union / European Economic Area. A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS.
When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects information transmitted by your browser in so-called server log files, including browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, requested page or file, time of the request and your IP address (anonymised).
IP addresses are anonymised by the hosting provider in the log files. This data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after a maximum of 8 weeks. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation and the security of this website.
4. Login Protection
To protect this website against unauthorised access, failed login attempts to the administration area are logged, including the IP address and time of the attempt. This only concerns login attempts, not normal visits. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security of the website).
5. Contacting Me
You can contact me by email, phone or WhatsApp. The data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your message) is processed solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
If you contact me via WhatsApp, your data is also processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). Data may be transferred to the USA. For details, see: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea
Your enquiry is deleted once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Cookies and Consent Management
This website uses the consent management tool Real Cookie Banner (devowl.io GmbH, Germany), which runs entirely on my own server. It stores your consent decision in a technically necessary cookie and keeps a record of your consent (consent ID, time, selected settings, and a pseudonymised form of your IP address) to comply with my obligation to document consent under Art. 7(1) GDPR. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR.
Content from third-party providers (see sections 7 and 8) is blocked by default and only loaded after you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act, TKG 2021). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Privacy Settings” link at the bottom of every page.
7. Embedded Posts from X (formerly Twitter)
This website embeds posts from X. The provider for users in the EU is Twitter International Unlimited Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, D02 AX07, Ireland. The embedded posts are only loaded after you have given your consent. Once loaded, a connection to X’s servers is established; X may set cookies and process data such as your IP address and information about your browser.
Data may be transferred to X Corp. in the USA. X Corp. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For details, see: https://x.com/privacy
8. Embedded Videos from YouTube
This website embeds videos from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode and are only loaded after you have given your consent. Once loaded, a connection to Google’s servers is established; YouTube may set cookies and process data such as your IP address and information about your browser.
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Google may also process data in other countries in which it operates data centres, some of which do not offer a level of data protection equivalent to that of the EU.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For details, see: https://policies.google.com/privacy
9. Fonts
The font used on this website (Poppins) is hosted locally on my own server. No connection to Google’s servers is established when the font loads.
10. External Links
This website contains links to external websites and services, such as LinkedIn, Google Maps, WhatsApp and websites of past projects. No data is transmitted to these providers when you visit fabmap.at. Data is only processed by the respective provider if you click on a link and leave this website. In that case, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
11. SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar and the lock icon.
12. Retention Period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will be kept only until the purpose of processing no longer applies. If you request deletion or withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted unless there are other legal grounds for retaining it (e.g. retention obligations under tax or commercial law).

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification or erasure (Art. 16, 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), objection (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
